Tamala - Cinnamomum Tamala

Tamala is very effective in a blend for dealing with fungus. It has a bright Cinnamon aroma! When blending with Tamala it is useful to add a skin nourishing oil to the blend such as Sandalwood or Patchouli (which also help care for the area of fungus) to neutralize the potentially skin irritating effects of the Tamala.  Great for stress-related conditions and cooling.

The distiller has given us the following information about the uses of Tamala in Nepal: benefits the nervous system and useful in treatment of stress-related conditions such as headache, insomnia and nervous tension. Relieves arthritis, inflamed joints, and muscular pains (cooling).

This Nepalese distiller has formed a farmer cooperative where local and indigenous people participate in cultivation and production of aromatic plants. These people have significantly raised their socio-economic status as the cooperative is providing employment and promoting cultivation in community forest and private land owned by the farmers. All the Nepalese oils are beautiful oils with a deep connection to the culture and history of this amazing country.

5 drops Tamala
5 drops Lemongrass
10 drops Palmarosa
10 drops Sandalwood
10 drops Geranium
10 drops Patchouli

Blend into a stock bottle and use 2 drops total in 1/2 tsp. of Aloe Vera gel. Apply directly to fungus 4 times daily.

Safety

May cause irritation to skin and mucous membranes, best to use in low doses. Avoid using on individuals with sensitive or damaged skin. May be sensitizing. The oil is not be used with children under two years old. Dilute oils high in Cinnamaldehyde very well, using other skin nourishing oils in the blend.
