Personal Experience, Research, Possible Actions
Agonis fragrans is small shrub with fragrant white foliage. Similar to Tea Tea with a more pleasing aroma, it has been used for years by the indigenous Australians who have valued its beautiful flowery fragrance. Fragonia (TM) has a fresh cineolic aroma with slight spicy cinnamon tonality and sweet balsamic undertones. John and Petra Day have successfully been growing this particular chemotype. He states, "In Europe, Pine and Eucalyptus oil were mixed to get the balance of alpha-pinene and cineole (to treat for specific respiratory/infectious conditions). In Fragonia (TM) it is naturally occurring in a balanced way.”
Noted as a good pain reliever and especially helpful with the pain associated with arthritis, as well as muscle and joint pain. It is also said to stimulate and enhance the immune system.
Fragonai also seems to have emotional effects. There are case studies of people with longstanding emotional blockages who were able to find release. The essential oil seems to both release tension and have a relaxing/calming effect on the mind.
