Hydrosol - Yarrow (Organic)

Artisan Crafted USA

Distilled from Yarrow - Achillea millefoliumFlowertop

Distillation date:  July 2011

PH: 4.2

Very Stable it can last up to 2 years.

Yarrow hydrosol is a very balancing hydrosol. Its aroma is quite strong but not unpleasant.  Its taste is somewhat medicinal, much like Yarrow.  Suzanne Catty says it is anti-inflammatory and can be used as a compress for varicose veins. She also says it stabilizes body fluids and gets rid of excess fluids.

Also used for the skin after sun exposure, for burns, and as a spray after shaving to sooth any skin irritation. The distiller tells us that Yarrow hydrosol is good to reduce rheumatic pain, and for bug bites or stings. It is considered the first choice of hydrosols for eczema and psoriasis as it stops itching and reduces irritation.

Great to use with animals for any skin condition. Can be combined with Calendula and Helichrysum hydrosols.  Some have successfully used this combination for facilitating slow, effective healing of wounds.  Other traditional benefits include:

  • Mild diuretic
  • Antibacterial
  • Antiseptic
  • Effective wound cleanser that helps stop bleeding
  • Calming and helps one find peace.
  • Highly energetic

Shipped in sterilized glass bottles.  Best if stored in a cool dark place when not in use.
