A beautiful wild Lavender! The aroma is pleasant sweet and floral with honey overtones. The taste is somewhat bitter when undiluted. However if sweetened or added to other liquids or food it tastes delightful. Lavender hydrosol is my first choice for sunburn. I like to spray it on after I have been in the sun to protect and heal my skin. It is also great for kitchen burns-just add a few drops of Lavender and Helichrysum essential oils to the Lavender hydrosol and your skin will heal quickly.
I combine it with Helichrysum hydrosol and German Chamomile hydrosol for acne with great results. The aroma is gentle and the effect on the skin is very nourishing.
You can use Lavender hydrosol on your animals skin or fur if there is an irritation or itching, and also with young children for any sort of skin issue. Lavender hydrosol is also effective with radiation burns.
