Cocoa butter is a beautiful, hard aromatic butter pressed from the roasted seeds of the Cacao tree (Theobroma nucifera) in West Africa. It will soften at body temperature and adds a rich, creamy and thick consistency to your lotions and creams.

Our cocoa butter is high quality, expeller-pressed and unrefined. It is not deodorized and has its own natural chocolate aroma.

Cocoa butter is highly protective of the skin and acts as a water repellent. It contains about 5 IU of vitamin E per ounce.

Vitamin E is a potent skin antioxidant and a well-known skin healer and moisturizer.

1-3 year shelf life if stored in a cool dark area. Extra virgin cocoa butter, organic and unrefined, will give you the best butter for skin preparations. As soon as it is refined it loses its wonderful skin healing properties. The butter should have a yellowish tone.
