The resin is from the Boswellia Sacra/Carteri tree.  Use this resin for burning as an incense, for prayer and to clear the space. The Frankincense aroma is beautiful, soothing, calming and centering. Frankincense and Myrrh were highly treasured possessions in ancient worlds, considered more valuable then many precious gems.

When you buy the 1 pound size there might be some beautiful larger chunks of the resin. You can put these in a bowl and use as a potpourri, or you can take a larger chunk, put it in a separate plastic bag and hit it with a hammer to break it into small pieces to burn.

The resin can be burned in a wood stove or on a charcoal tab. Some even put small chunks in a pot of water on the stove, or will burn the resin on a piece of aluminum foil.

The resin is a great anti-inflammatory and the locals will chew on a piece of the resin for the natural aspirin.
