Hydrosol - Lemon Verbena (Organic)

Artisan Crafted USA

Distilled from Certified Organic Aloysia triphylla syn. Lippia citriodora

Distillation date:   August 2011  Plant Part: Leaf

PH: 5.8

Very stable with a shelf life of at least 18 months or more, depending on your storage.

Lemon Verbena has a delicate lemon aroma that is gentle and fresh.  It is a highly energetic hydrosol which we see in low-yielding plants.

  • Powerful mental relaxant and calming
  • Balancing
  • Sedative properties for that feeling of "a knot in the stomach"
  • General body tonic stimulating the endocrine system, especially the  thyroid and pancreas.
  • Digestive aid
  • Strong anti-inflammatory with an affinity with the mucous membranes of the mouth and nose
  • Can be used as a daily mouthwash
  • Clarifier for normal and combination skin
  • Great after shower spritz
  • Works well to help overcome acne

According to Suzanne Catty it is good combined with rock rose, frankincense, or cornflower to help refine the skin texture and may reduce pore size.  On its own or blended with lavender, peppermint or sandalwood it is a great conditioning after shave.  Men love the smell as its neither floral nor fruity.  It tastes delicious!

Shipped in sterilized glass bottles.  Best if stored in a cool dark place when not in use.
