Hydrosol - Frankincense (Organic)

Distilled from Wild Crafted Frankincense - Boswellia carterii

We use pure Frankincense and Myrrh hydrosol everyday as a spray on our faces. Both hydrosols offer remarkable support for healthy skin. Frankincense and Myrrh hydrosols can be added to your bath, spayed on your skin to refresh or relax, used for healing in skin care, and to freshen the air in your home.

Deodorant Recipe:

3 drops Cypress
4 drops Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana)
3 drops Lemon

How are hydrosols made?

The distillation process involves filling the still with plant material and passing steam through the plant under pressure. The pressurized steam breaks open the cells of the plant and releases its oil content. The steam and the oil molecules pass through a cooling condenser, which turns the steam back to water. The water is collected in a Florentine flask and the oil generally floats on the surface of the water. This water is the hydrosol.

"Frankincense hydrosol may be particularly useful in the mouth or gum infections as a gargle. Topically Frankincense hydrosol is fantastic on the skin. Mist over the face and leave to air dry and your skin will have a noticeably finer texture almost immediately."

The 4 oz. size comes in a slim silver spray bottle and the 8 oz size. comes in our special Pet plastic bottle with a cap.
