Personal Experience, Research, Possible Actions
Tamala is very effective in a blend for dealing with fungus. It has a bright Cinnamon aroma! When blending with Tamala it is useful to add a skin nourishing oil to the blend such as Sandalwood or Patchouli (which also help care for the area of fungus) to neutralize the potentially skin irritating effects of the Tamala.
The distiller has given us the following information about the uses of Tamala in Nepal: benefits the nervous system and useful in treatment of stress-related conditions such as headache, insomnia and nervous tension. Relieves arthritis, inflamed joints, and muscular pains (cooling).
This Nepalese distiller has formed a farmer cooperative where local and indigenous people participate in cultivation and production of aromatic plants. These people have significantly raised their socio-economic status as the cooperative is providing employment and promoting cultivation in community forest and private land owned by the farmers. All the Nepalese oils are beautiful oils with a deep connection to the culture and history of this amazing country.
