About

When experiencing anxiety, insomnia, or a general feeling of being out of sorts, this oil can provide wonderful support. Spikenard calms the heart, relaxes the mind, reduces excessive thinking, and brings a peaceful feeling. Its aroma is unique, sweet, earthy, warm, and deep.

It has been used successfully to calm tachycardia (rapid heart beat). Try combining it with equal amounts of Ylang Ylang and applying the blend to the chest.

Spikenard is helpful to add to antifungal blends. The oil supports reducing inflammation and tissue healing, and may have some antifungal activity on its own as well.

This oil is a great anti-inflammatory! Great bug repellent. May help slow down heavy menstrual bleeding.

The Indian distiller of this Spikenard has been distilling essential oils for the past 20 years. His company uses their own essential oils to make a variety of aromatherapy products, and exports pure essential oils around the globe. Along with their own distilling they hire rural Indian farmers to grow aromatic plants and distill oil for them. These essential oils are distilled at the farmers’ fields in a portable distillery so that the flowers, roots, and leaves are fresh when distilled. The quality and vibrancy of their oils is unsurpassed.
