About

This oil represents a new line of "Synergistic Oils" we are beginning at Aromatics International. This oil is half Cedarwood and half Laurel Leaf. We combined them in the bottle because they offer an excellent "synergy", or blend, of 2 fantastic respiratory oils. Instead of buying both of these oils you can buy just one oil and have the effects of both combined. Below you can read some information about each oil.

Laurel Leaf has a lively, spicy, sweet aroma. I have found it most useful for respiratory and digestive system support. It is also used to reduce swollen lymph glands and is a broad spectrum antimicrobial.

Laurel Leaf is helpful for the respiratory system. It can reduce allergy symptoms. Try using Laurel Leaf to alleviate cold and allergy symptoms like sneezing, stuffy head, and general respiratory congestion. It can be added to a cream, oil, bath (dilute first in carrier oil), diffuser, or foot soak. It is also great added to a diffuser blend.

Laurel Leaf is a great oil to add to blends for muscle aches, pains, and headaches. Laurel moves stuck energy, and is good for cold, cramping conditions.

Cedarwood is traditionally considered a male fragrance and is often used in cosmetic products for men. Its sweet, woody aroma is often incorporated into blends as a base note, giving strength and stability to the aroma. It appears to offer these same properties on a mental/emotional level as well.

Cedarwood is great to blend into a cream for the chest to relieve congestion and suppress coughing. It has a stimulating effect on the respiratory system and is especially useful when an infection is present. Its astringent and antiseptic qualities make it useful in skin care, especially for acne.

Combined, these oils offer us a uniquely effective respiratory oil with a beautiful aroma. Great in a diffuser!

Safety Issues

Laurel Leaf: May cause skin irritation, and may be sensitizing. Use in low dilution (1%) when applying to the skin, such as in bath or massage oils. Do not use the undiluted oil in a steam as it may irritate the mucous membranes. Do not use with children under 5 years old.
