About
This is a beautiful and unique oil! The flowers and the leaves of the Citrus Aurantium tree are distilled together to make this new oil. I only know of one distiller producing this oil and the results are great. The Neroli/Petitgrain oil is deeply sedative and antispasmodic.
This oil is used therapeutically for supporting sleep, reducing anxiety, muscle spasms, and for most skin concerns. It is also used for heart palpitations; try combining it with Ylang Ylang.
I have also been using this oil as a perfume, combining it with Jojoba oil and Shea butter. Melt 2 tablespoons (1 oz.) of Jojoba oil and 2 tablespoons of Shea butter in a double boiler. I use a pot that I usually make rice in, fill it 1/4 of the way with water. Boil the water and then add the Jojoba and Shea into a Pyrex measuring cup. Put the Pyrex cup in the pot and you have yourself a double boiler! Melt the Jojoba and Shea over medium heat, and then pour into a small glass jar (2 oz or bigger). Add 6-8 drops of Neroli/Petitgrain and cover until cool. This will make a lovely, soft perfume.
